This article will walk you through preparing your iPad for use with Lightspeed Retail (R or X Series)..
- Unbox the iPad
- Connect the iPad to the included charger
- Go through the setup process on the iPad
- Connect the iPad to the wireless network that you will be using
- Update the iPad to the latest version of iPadOS
- Sign into your iPad with your Apple ID
- Rename the iPad
- Configure "Guided Access" on the iPad
- From the App Store
- Download and install "Splashtop SOS" (for use with iPOS Support).
- Download and install the Lightspeed POS App
- Connect the receipt printer and cash drawer (if applicable).
- If using an Epson TM_m30 receipt printer, download and install "Epson TM-Utility",update the firmware.
- If using a Socket Mobile Scanner, connect and pair to the iPad.
- If you are using a Wise POS E payment terminal, pair the terminal in the POS App.
- If you are using a BBPOS Chipper/Mobile Tap v2, connect and pair to the iPad.
- In the LSR / LSX POS App, connect, pair, setup and test the above peripherals.
