The Socket Mobile Scanner needs to be configured in "iOS Application mode" and to scan "Data As Is" for it to work as referenced in this article.
Please click here to review the article named "[LSX] Configure a Socket Mobile Scanner for Scanning Multiple Items Using the Same UPC using the LSX POS App".
In this example, we will be using a UPC of "034856108115" that will be scanned on multiple items.
The UPC, "034856108115", will not be used by itself. Therefore, when scanned, it will not return any results since no items have that UPC assigned.
Scanning the UPC in the search box will list any items that include the UPC at the beginning of any custom barcode.
The UPC will be used as the beginning of the custom barcode and then have "-" (dash) and a suffix added after the dash. The suffix will represent the individual item.
These UPCs will be "034856108115-1" for the item named "Welch’s fruit snacks - island fruits" and "034856108115-2" for the item named "Welch’s fruit snacks - berry fruits" respectively in this example.

- Scan the UPC on the item.
- You will see that the UPC that was scanned appears in the search box and then any items that contain the UPC at the front and contain additional information after it will appear in the search results.
- At this point, you can tap any of the returned search results to add the specific item to the sale in the LSX app. We will tap the item named "Welch's fruit snacks - berry fruits".
