This article is created as a basic overview of mapping data to sync from Lightspeed POS R-Series (LSR) to QuickBooks Desktop (QB DT).
Assumptions
You are using the following applications to sync your POS data to QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online.
- Lightspeed POS R-Series (LSR) or Lightspeed POS X-Series (LSX)
- Lightspeed Accounting or Shogo. (Since these are the same, we will refer to these as Lightspeed Accounting or LSA)
- QuickBooks Desktop (QB DT) or QuickBooks Online (QBO)
The different sections of account mappings in Lightspeed Accounting are listed below and are based upon how you setup Lightspeed Accounting.
- Sales
- Discounts, Returns, Offsets
- Other Charges
- Taxes
- Payments
- Cash Drawer
- Inventory & COGS
- Purchase Orders
If the required account mappings are not completed, data from Lightspeed Accounting cannot be sent to your QuickBooks company file.
When there is an account mapping that needs to be made in Lightspeed Accounting, it will display with a yellow background as shown below.
Shogo has an article in their support site named "Map and activate your accounting" that will walk you through the basics of setting up the needed account mappings from Lightspeed Retail to your QB company file.
