Lightspeed Retail R Series is in the process of updating gift card functionality to a new version for all of their customers. If you notice that you no longer have the gift card button in your menu on your sales screen, we will walk you through correcting the issue when Lightspeed Retail R Series updates your gift card version to their latest platform.
Customers who have Lightspeed Retail R Series before June 23, 2021 will be on the original gift card version and customers who have Lightspeed Retail R Series after June 23, 2021 will automatically be on their new gift card version.

How to Determine Which Lightspeed Retail R Series Gift Card Version You are Currently on
- Log into your Lightspeed Retail R Series account.
- In the left hand window pane, click "Customers".
- In the main window pane, click "Gift Cards" under the section named "Gift Cards".
- If your account is still on the original version of Lightspeed Retail R Series gift card platform, the screen will look like this.
- If your account is currently on or recently updated to Lightspeed Retail R Series gift card platform, the screen will look like either of these two pictures.
The Gift Card Button no Longer Appears on the Sales Screen
- Log into your Lightspeed Retail R Series account.
- In the left hand window pane, click "Customers".
- In the main window pane, click "Gift Cards" under the section named "Gift Cards".
- In the main window pane, click "Gift card settings".
- In the main window pane, enable the appropriate sales channel(s) that you use gift cards with (eCom, Point of Sale, or both).
- Click "Save" in the upper right hand corner to save the changes made. *** Please note that you must log out and back into Lightspeed Retail R Series for the Gift Card button to become available again in both the New Sale and Continue Sale pages ***
- After signing out of Lightspeed Retail R Series and signing back in, you will now see the "Gift Card" button in the New Sale and Continue Sale screens as shown below.
