[LSR] Configure Socket Mobile S730 for use With LightSpeed Retail R Series web Interface in the iOS app

These instructions are to configure the Socket Mobile S730 Scanner for HID (Keyboard) use in the Lightspeed Retail R Series iOS App.  The Lightspeed Retail R Series iOS App will show "No Barcode Scanner".

Please follow these instructions entirely.  You may skip the first step if you have NOT paired the scanner with the iPad.  The S730 scanner HAS to be unpaired from an iPad before it can be programmed.

If your scanner is not able to decode the barcodes, download the Socket Mobile S730 Programming Guide here.  The barcodes used are on Pages 3, 17, and 19.

1. Unpair the Socket S730 mobile scanner from the iPad.

2. Power on the scanner by pressing and holding the power button for a couple of seconds.
3. Factory reset the scanner.

4. Power on the scanner by pressing and holding the power button for a couple of seconds.
5. Scan "Disable Bookland EAN".

6. Scan "Ignore UPC/EAN with Supplements".

7. Power off the scanner by pressing and holding the power button for a couple of seconds.
8. Power on the scanner by pressing and holding the power button for a couple of seconds.
9. Pair the scanner with the iPad.
10. Open the Lightspeed Retail R Series POS app on the iPad and login.
11. In the section named "Devices", you will see "No barcode scanner selected" under the listing for "Barcode scanner".

12. Tap "Manager" on the bottom tray.

13. Tap "Sales" in the upper right area.

14. Scan an ISBN barcode and it will appear in the search window.
