[LSX] Updating Retail POS iOS apps

1. If you have Guided Access started on your iPad, you must first exit it.
2. Press the "home button" (if you have a physical Home button) or "swipe up" from the bottom of the screen (if you do not have a physical Home button) to return home. 
3. Tap "App Store".
4. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen.
5. Type "Lightspeed Retail POS" (or "Lightspeed Retail") in the search bar.
6. Look for "Lightspeed Retail POS (X)" and tap "Update" to update to the latest version.

7. Close the "App Store" on the iPad.
8. Open the "Lightspeed Retail POS (X)" app on the iPad.
9. Start Guided Access if you use it.

Updating your apps

Stay up-to-date with your Lightspeed Retail POS apps to take advantage of new features, ensure smooth compatibility, and boost overall performance.

1. Select the app you want to update:

• Retail POS
• Display
• Scanner
• Reporter

2. On the app's page, scroll to the "What’s new" section.
3. Check the "Version History" for the latest "Version [number]".

Identifying your Lightspeed Retail X Series POS app version

Knowing your current app version helps identify if you're on the latest update, ensuring you're not missing out on new features and improvements.

1. Open the Lightspeed Retail X Series POS app on your iPad.
2. Tap on the "Menu" icon (☰) on the top left-hand side of the screen.
3. Tap the green "Online" icon at the top of the menu bar.
4. View the version number at the bottom of the "Status" window that appears.
