Install/configure an Epson TM-T20III printer with Lightspeed Retail using Lightspeed Hub (beta only)

At this point in time, the Epson TM-T20III printer can only work with Lightspeed Retail using the Lightspeed Hub (which is currently in private beta testing).  If you are not a member of the private beta testing for Lightspeed Hub, please contact iPOS support and we will work with Lightspeed to get your account to be entered in the private beta.

  1. Download the drivers for the Epson TM-T20III printer by clicking here.
  2. Once the drivers have been downloaded, extract the drivers and install them by running the file named "APD_601_T20IIIl.exe"
  3. You may be presented with a Windows User Account control prompt, if so click "Yes".
  4. Click "Next".

  1. Click the radio button named "Agree" and then click "Install".

  1. You will now be prompted to select a new printer to install as shown below.

  1. Plug the power cable into the rear of the receipt printer.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cable into an AC outlet.
  3. Plug a USB cable into the USB port on the rear of the receipt printer.
  4. Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on the workstation it is being installed on.
  5. Make sure that the receipt printer is loaded with thermal receipt paper.
  6. Plug the appropriate end of the cash drawer cable into the rear of the receipt printer and then plug the other end of the cash drawer cable into the cash drawer.
  7. Turn the receipt printer on by using the power switch in the bottom right hand corner of the front of the receipt printer.
  8. Click the X button in the upper right hand corner of the window named "EPSON TM Printer Settings".

  1. Click "No".

  1. Open Control Panel and then open Devices and Printers.  You will now see a printer definition named "EPSON TM-T(203dpi) Receipt6".

  1. Log into your Lightspeed Retail account.
  2. In the left hand window pane, you should see a section named "Devices".  Click "Devices".

  1. In the main window pane, click on the button named "Download Lightspeed Hub".

  1. Once the download has completed, click on the downloaded file to run in.

  1. If you are presented with a window stating that "Windows protected your PC", please click "More info".

  1. Click the button named "Run anyway".

  1. You may get a User Account Control asking to run "Lightspeed Hub", click "Yes".
  2. Click the box for "I accept the license terms" and then click "Continue".

  1. You will now be prompted to connect Hub to Retail as shown below.

  1. Go back to your Lightspeed Retail browser window and then in the main window, click "Connect to Hub".

  1. In the window named "Open Lightspeed Hub?", check the option named "Always allow us.lightspeedapp.com to open links of this type in the associated app" and then click "Open Lightspeed Hub".

  1. You may get a User Account Control asking to run "Lightspeed Hub", click "Yes".
  2. In the Lightspeed Hub application, click "Connect" under Receipt printer in the left hand window pane.

  1. You will be asked how you wish to connect to the Epson TM-T20III receipt printer.  In this situation, please click "USB".

  1. Click "Search for printers".

  1. You will now see the EPSON TM-T20III printer listed.

  1. Click "Print test receipt" to print a test receipt and verify that it prints correctly.

  1. Click "Connect".

  1. You will now see that the Epson TM-T20III receipt printer is now properly configured to work with Lightspeed Retail using Lightspeed Hub (beta).

You may now start to use the Epson TM-T20III receipt printer and cash drawer.
