This article is for the 11" or 12.9" iPad Pro (3rd Gen) and the device won't turn on or is frozen.
If your device has a frozen screen, doesn't respond when you touch it, or becomes stuck when you turn it on, here is what you can do.
If your screen is black or frozen
If your screen is black or frozen, you might need to force restart your device. A force restart won't erase the content on your device. You can force restart your device even if the screen is black or the buttons aren't responding. Follow these steps:
- Press and quickly release the Volume Up button
- Press and quickly release the Volume Down button
- Press and hold the Power button until the device restarts, approximately 8-10 seconds
