How to Change the Password for the TJOHNSON User Account

 

There are two ways that the password for the TJOHNSON user account on your workstation can be changed.

  • Log into the TJOHNSON user account with the active password and change the password.
  • Log into the TJOHNSON user account with the expired password and change the password.

Please note that the two above methods require that you know the password (active or expired) for the TJOHNSON user account.  If you do not know the password for the TJOHNSON user account, you must contact iPOS Support Team by either calling (570)906-8598 option #3 or sending an email to helpdesk@individualpos.com.

The password for the TJOHNSON user account must be a minimum of 6 characters and can’t be a password that has been used in the last year.

Log into the TJOHNSON user account with the active password and change the password.

  1. Go to the user logon screen in Windows.
  2. Click on the TJOHNSON user account.

  1. Enter the active password for the TJOHNSON user account.

  1. Hit Enter or click the button to the right of the password.

  1. Perform a Control – Alt – Delete on the keyboard by pressing and holding the three keys.
  2. Click on Change a password.

  1. Enter the active password in the field named Old Password.

  1. Enter the new password in the field named New Password.

  1. Enter the new password in the field named Confirm Password.

  1. Hit Enter or click the button to the right of the password.

  1. The new password will be active for the next 90 days before it will automatically expire.

Log into the TJOHNSON user account with the expired password and change the password.

  1. Go to the user logon screen in Windows.
  2. Click on the TJOHNSON user account.

  1. Enter the expired password for the TJOHNSON user account.

  1. Hit Enter or click the button to the right of the password.

  1. You will be notified that the password has expired and must be changed.

  1. Click OK.

  1. Enter the new password in the field named New Password.

  1. Enter the new password in the field named Confirm Password.

  1. Hit Enter or click the button to the right of the password.

  1. You will be notified that the password has been changed.

  1. Click OK.

  1. The new password will be active for the next 90 days before it will automatically expire.
  2. Log out of the TJOHNSON user account and log into Windows as your normal user account.
