The proper weekly procedure to perform a full power cycle for the Revel POS system is listed below.
After logging out of Revel POS, disabling Guided Access (if applicable), checking to make sure that all orders are sent to the server and that all payments are sent to the processor, closing the Revel POS/CDS/KDS apps then power off the following pieces of equipment in the noted order below.
- iPad(s)
- Receipt/kitchen printer(s)
- Pin pad terminal(s)
- Switch(es)
- Wireless access point(s)
- Revel POS router
- Modem/router from your ISP
After waiting about 5 minutes, power on the following pieces of equipment in the noted order below.
- Modem/router from your ISP
- Revel POS router
- Wireless access point(s)
- Switch(es)
- Pin pad terminal(s)
- Receipt/kitchen printer(s)
- iPad(s)
