Managed Internet Security - BitDefender

PCI guidelines state you need to have a Hardware Firewall or Software Firewall on every computer that is connected to your POS and Accounting computers. Compliance failures can yield fines and the potential of losing the ability to accept credit cards.  Additional compliance regulations also apply. In no circumstance does iPOS or its representatives confirm or imply the installation of this software completes your requirement(s) for PCI compliance in part or in whole. Please see for additional information.

The iPOS Support Team continues to research and evaluate other procedures and processes to help keep you secure.  Be sure to read the other articles in the Forums related to your security.

Over 5 years ago iPOS made the switch to BitDefender.  We spent more than 160 hours researching Managed Internet Security Applications.  Here is a chart reflecting how BitDefender has compared over the past 3 years.

  • Security that guards your computers against viruses, rootkits, malware, phishing, data loss, web threats and much more.
  • Advanced heuristics, web filtering, search advisor, USB scanning to block all malware entry points.
  • With centralized management, employees never have to update, monitor or troubleshoot security again and can focus 100% on the business.
  • CSE updates are automatic and users can’t interfere with the settings or deactivate protection.

While Bitdefender’s Endpoint Security software is number-one-ranked software, no antivirus software can guarantee you will not contract a virus, have a malware infection, or prevent any other malicious act on computers protected with their software. iPOS provides no guarantee or representation
that Bitdefender’s Endpoint Security software will 100% prevent the foresaid acts from occurring. It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure antivirus software is installed and operating correctly within your organization with appropriate policies in place.

If you do become infected, any removal and remediation of infections will be billed at current labor rates.

iPOS offers an annual BitDefender agreement billed monthly for a period of 12 months. At the expiration of the original term of the agreement, this agreement shall continue in full force and effect on a month-to-month basis at the then current price until a 30 days written notice of termination is given by either party. Please note that standard installation fees will apply to any service that is discontinued and later reinstalled.
