Windows Updates

Whether  you purchased your computer(s) from iPOS or followed our instructions and set Windows updates to occur automatically, you must close out of your Software applications overnight to allow the updates to occur without causing issues with your Software applications.

Please note: Windows Updates are a necessity for security and PCI Compliance.

If you are leaving your Point of Sale or Accounting software running overnight and a Windows update occurs that requires a reboot of the PC it can and will cause problems with your Point of Sale and Accounting software and possibly corrupt your database.  Simply close the application before logging off the Windows User and turning off your monitor.
