How to Configure a PAX S300 Pin Pad Terminal to Use SSL/TLS

  1. Make sure that the terminal is connected to a wired network via the red interface cable and that the terminal is powered on.
  2. From the idle screen, press both the blue function button and the 1 button at the same time.

  1. You will be asked to enter the admin password which is the current date in the format of MMDDYYYY and then press the green enter button.

  1. From the main menu, tap the down arrow button once.

  1. Tap "2" for "Communication".

  1. From the communications options menu, tap the down arrow button twice.

  1. Tap "2" for "ECR Comm. Type".

  1. Tap "4" for "Ethernet".

  1. Set the Communication Port to "10009" if it is not already set and press the Green enter button.

  1. Tap "3" for "SSL/TLS".

  1. Tap the back button until you get to the idle screen for the PAX S300 pin pad terminal.
