Stage 1 | The Basics - Laying the Foundation

You will want to watch both the backend and frontend webinars to create a foundational knowledge of Lightspeed and familiarize yourself with the look, feel, and terminology. When viewing the webinars, you will need to provide information to register / login. 

Below each webinar link is a list of topics covered and links to applicable help articles (and videos) for reference. We recommend you share these recorded webinars with your staff / anyone who will be utilizing Lightspeed in these areas or training other team members. Please note any questions that arise to be addressed in your 1-1 training with Lightspeed and subsequent trainings with iPOS.

The Lightspeed Help Center has in depth videos, articles, and step-by-step instructions with screenshots on various topics. Use the search function for keywords or navigate topics on the left-hand menu.

Testing / Practicing / Training in Lightspeed

As you progress in training, you and your team will want to perform some basic tasks and functions to learn hands on in your new system. Don't worry, test transactions can easily be archived! 

1. Logging In to Lightspeed (Primary User)

To log in to your Lightspeed account for the first time, click "Forgot your password" underneath the login area, enter your email, and follow the password reset instructions that are emailed to you. Please make note of your credentials.  

2. Create Employees + Practice Logging In / Out

3. Create Test Item

4. Create Test Customer

5. Create Test Vendor

6. Test Sales

7. Test Refunds / Exchanges

Stage 2 | Lightspeed 1-1 Training Q&A

To schedule your 1-1 training with a Lightspeed Implementation Specialist, you must first completely review both the backend and frontend webinars above and collect a list of questions or areas of desired training. Please email onboard.na@lightspeedhq.com and request a scheduling link. Be sure to let the onboarding team know you have completed the webinars by viewing recordings and do not need to schedule and attend those first. iPOS is happy to assist in facilitating this with and for you as well - just let us know! 

Stage 3 | iPOS Customized Workflow and Reporting Training(s)

After completing the webinar trainings and initial 1-1 with Lightspeed, those who have purchased professional services, including training, from iPOS, will be able to schedule (1) hour training sessions. These sessions may be pre-paid or billed as needed.
